"Futures made my career aspirations in the NHS a reality"

5th July, 2022 Read time: Two minutes

Songita from Nottingham is one of 16 local residents to secure a job with the NHS following participation in a Futures & Nottingham University Hospitals recruitment partnership.

Futures began working with NUH in January 2022 as part of a 12 month recruitment partnership in which they identify, train and prepare local job seekers for careers in the NHS.

There are recruitment programmes available for both Business Administration roles and Healthcare Assistant roles at the university hospitals, with sector specific training taking place at The Hub in Nottingham city centre every month.

Following completion of the short training course, candidates are prepared for interview with invaluable insight into the employers needs and expectations.

Songita was an applicant for an NHS Business Administration role and, following her time with Futures, was offered a full-time role in an environment she had only dreamt of.

“I was standing watching my colleagues dealing with hundreds of patients, thinking how life can change in just a few months. I'd finally made it to where I wanted to be!”

Songita was recently back in contact with her former Futures Skills Coach, Caroline Killen.

“I hope you know the truly priceless impact you have on people's lives. You are an outstanding teacher and I feel blessed to have met you.”

If you are a job seeker in Nottinghamshire with a determination to secure a career in the NHS, you may be eligible for this unique recruitment opportunity.
