Speed Networking with Bramcote College

We believe it’s just as important to promote non-university routes as it is the traditional university route, which is why we’re so pleased to have supported Caryn Welch from White Hills Park Trust #StartIt and organise a speed-networking event at Bramcote College.

20 students took part and in small groups, they had 15 minutes to speak to the businesses in attendance to learn about their application/recruitment processes, the kind of employees they look for, the skills they value and the variety of roles on offer. It allowed students to see a new perspective on the world of work and alternatives to university.

All the students leaving the event said that they'd enjoyed it and learnt a lot about a range of opportunities. Providers were highly complementary about the calibre of the students they spoke to and the interest students had shown in the different career paths.

The event was kindly supported by HMRC, the Land Registry, Meller Ltd and Europa Worldwide Logistics, providing a large number of very different careers and training options.
