Futures’ Board has announced today that John Yarham, Chief Executive of the organisation, will be leaving the organisation in March 2019.

John joined Futures in May 2013 and has overseen the growth and development of the company. He will leave to take up the position of Deputy Chief Executive with the Careers and Enterprise Company. The process to appoint Futures’ new Chief Executive will start in the New Year.

Tim Richmond, Chairman of Futures said "We are grateful to John for his leadership of the organisation over the last six years. During that time we have been graded Outstanding by Ofsted for our delivery of the National Careers Service in the East Midlands, expanded our services into the East of England, created our Apprenticeship training provider arm – Futures for Business and purchased our Maid Marian Way premises in Nottingham.

"Most importantly, we have changed the lives of thousands of people by supporting them with their careers. John leaves the company in excellent shape, having recently re-secured two regional contracts to deliver the National Careers Service and a range of other new income streams that will enable us to further expand our impact in the years ahead."

John commented "After six years as Chief Executive at Futures, I will miss the organisation when I leave at the end of March. However, I feel proud that I will leave it in a very strong position to grow and develop further. I passionately believe in the organisation’s mission and look forward to seeing its further development over the next few years, building on the strong quality and financial foundations that are in place. I would like to thank the company’s Board, our colleagues and many partner organisations for all the support that they have given me during the last six years."
