Rianna, Mansfield, Takes Her Next Step With Futures
Futures for Business manage the recruitment process for all Mansfield District Council apprentices and provide pastoral support to the entire cohort throughout their apprenticeship, Rianna, Mansfield is one of the apprentices that receive this support.
Rianna is undertaking the Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship. Whilst at college, Rianna had a part time job as a waitress where she built up her customer service experience and wanted to apply this to a role in Business Administration.
The main reason she wanted to undertake an apprenticeship is so that she could “get to know the job role and what it entails in a practical way alongside course work which I am able to complete in work time. I see the apprenticeship taking me on to a full time job at Mansfield District Council. I’m constantly absorbing all the knowledge and skills required to work here.”
Rianna’s apprenticeship journey began in September when she attended an interview for her current position, she met Louise from Futures who took her through the interview process and any questions about the apprenticeship were answered. “That same day I received a call from Louise saying they would like me to attend the corporate induction and would like to offer me the job. The process ran smoothly and I started soon after the induction, which was great because I could start working straight away.”
“Futures helped me to get where I am now by allowing me to do the Level 3 Business Admin Apprenticeship as I had originally only applied for the level 2. This will now make my CV look amazing, as I will have completed two Level 3 courses. The extra courses they do allow me to build on my skills such as the Communication Course held at the Hub (which was amazing). They are eager to help all apprentices get where they need to be despite everyone having different goals and career paths.”
