Project Implementation Manager (6 months’ FTC)

  • Salary: Grade 4 with a salary scale of £36,522 - £40,811 per annum (pro-rata for part time)

What are we looking for? 

Futures are recruiting for a Project Implementation Manager on a 6 months’ fixed-term contract to work as part of our operational team to provide project leadership of the implementation plan of potential DWP provision across the East Midlands and East of England.

They will have accountability to achieve the successful implementation of the programme with external stakeholder organisations, managing project costs in line with financial modelling for each Contract Package Area. They will liaise with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement the premises strategy in line with contractual requirements and costings. They will also collaborate with the Head of IT to ensure the IT requirements are scoped, sourced and implemented in line with contract start date. They will work with the Head of People to ensure recruitment plans are developed to advertise, recruit, on-board and train staffing for the duration of the contract.

In addition, they are expected to develop internal and external communication plans with the Head of Marketing and Communications, ensure all MI and performance reporting requirements are understood, advise the relevant Regional Manager(s) and involve the Head of MI, if required.

The will work closely with the relevant Regional Manager(s) to develop strategic delivery plans for the successful implementation of Restart, helping ensure strong ‘Year One’ performance for the programme.

Job Specification Requirements

The successful candidate will:

·        Hold Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II certification through the APM (Association for Project Management), PMI (Project Management Institute)

·        Ability to apply a methodology, such as: Prince II, Agile, Waterfall

·        Successful track record of project implementation in welfare-to-work or a related sector (e.g. skills delivery, apprenticeships, careers)

·        Ability to persuade, influence and sell ideas to colleagues and external stakeholders

·        Experience of producing multi-level project plans

·        Excellent organisational skills, to plan the use of people and resources to meet deadlines

·        Excellent budgeting skills and ability and manage project costs relating performance to income and costs

·        Effective administrative, organisational and planning skills

·        A positive, approachable team player with a can do attitude
