Assistant Accountant

The Role:

Futures have a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Accountant looking to build on their career.  The successful candidate will play a critical role within the Finance team, taking responsibility for key daily, monthly and ad hoc tasks while working in a fast-paced environment to deliver an exceptional service to internal and external stakeholders.  They will provide support to the wider finance team with value adding information and support throughout the year, including during Budgeting and year end periods.  The successful candidate will be extremely diligent and thorough in their work, leaving no stone unturned to ensure that the key elements of the role are carried out to the very highest standards. It is essential for the candidate to have a ‘can-do’, be proactive and have a flexible style of working.

The successful candidate:

  • AAT qualified or working towards this
  • Excellent IT skills that include Microsoft Office
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced finance team, including sales ledger and purchase ledger
  • Experience of month end processes including processing key schedules, reconciliations and process improvement
  • Able to plan, organise and prioritise in a high-pressured environment
  • Able to create and maintain effective processes, procedures, records and systems
  • Understanding of fundamental accounting principles and transactions
