What are we looking for?
We are looking for an Assistant Adviser to work within the Ask Us service. Would you like to be the first point of contact into the Ask Us Service? We are a fast-paced team who aims to get the best outcomes for children and young people with special educational needs and disability? Would you like a role where every day is different and filled with new challenges? We provide high quality, accurate and impartial information, support and advice to parents, carers and young people living in Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire. Candidates will need experience of data entry, telephone support and general administrative duties.

Job Specification Requirements
The successful candidate will:
Educated to at least NVQ3 or equivalent standard (BTEC level 3 diploma/certificate, A levels etc)
Computer literate to a high standard, with ability to use a full range of ICT packages, including Word, Excel, databases, the internet and e-mail.
Ability to input client information onto databases.
Able to communicate effectively in writing, on the phone and face to face
Able to organise own workload and cope with a variety of tasks at any one time
Basic factual knowledge of exclusions, admissions and SEND processes.
Ability to integrate effectively within a busy team. A positive, approachable team player with a can do attitude
An understanding of good customer service (internal and external)
